Who We Are

New Covenant Community Church was birthed out of The Historic Second Liberty Baptist Church, on February 1, 2004, and still maintains a close working relationship with our mother church.

Under our new banner, we have been granted tremendous impact and influence in our county and region. We are a multicultural and multigenerational congregation whose members have a rich history of serving in some of the highest positions in our community, to include Chairman of the local School Board, Unit Coordinator for the local 4-H Extension Services, Brown Bag Food Program Coordinator, chairman of the Planning Commission, and County Administrator. Members serve as teachers and coaches in our school system, and on an array of community boards and auxiliaries that include the County Fair Planning Committee, the Miss New Kent County Fair Pageant and our Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Event.

From day one, we determined to really be a Community Church committed to impacting life in our community and region. Our senior pastor is a co-founder of the Baptist Minister's Union of New Kent & Vicinity, United Ministries Joint Conference, New Kent Clergy Association and the Community Thanksgiving Service that just concluded its 22nd annual service.

In 2014, we launched our second church, Without Walls Ministries, as a church designed to minister redemption and restoration to the homeless and hurting community in Metropolitan Richmond. We've baptized over 20 and led almost 200 to accept Christ as thier personal Savior.

Our youth and Young Adults are some of the most distinguised in America. We have attorneys, communications specialist, nursing administrators, corporate managers and business owners scattered around the country who remain connected to New Covenant.

We consider ourselves to be a strategic church where everyone has an opportunity to develop their God-given talents and giftings.

And, oh yeah! We really know how to have fun. Our 2014 Praise in the Park service was awesome! Our Jesus, Jeans and Jersies services are competitive, but fun.

We're just getting started. In 2015, we will launch our third church, Covenant Life Church Online that will network with our members and partners around the country to help reach nations for Christ.

While some consider us to be simply a small church, we see ourselves as the smallest big church in the region with a strategic vision for reaching nations.
